Studies show that low adult literacy levels contribute to problems such as:
· Children’s academic success
· Welfare costs
· Health care costs
· Employment levels
· Crime rates
The good news is that the one problem that significantly contributes to all of these social problems is a problem we know how to solve.
The Literacy Coalition is proud to be a part of solving these problems in our community. We have been doing it since 1988. We teach the hardest to teach, the hardest to reach, and we do it with very few resources.
